Olugbenga Agboola CEO of Flutterwave

Olugbenga agboola is the CEO of Flutterwave, a company that has revolutionized payment services in Africa.

Excuse my ignorance, but I had never heard of Flutterwave until I read about it in an article from Forbes Magazine. It’s a payment processing company that processes payments across various African countries and services more than 20 million people between Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and more. olugbenga agboola is its founder and CEO as well as Senior Vice President at Mastercard Incorporated.

Flutterwave makes cloud-based payments possible and provides a user friendly interface for customers to receive money from all over the world. This company was born out of necessity, as African countries were lacking a quality payment processor. Olugbenga Agboola and his team are changing the way people in Africa pay, not only from person to person but also by handling things like shopping, paying for utilities and more. They’re basically a fully functioning financial institution without the red tape of traditional banks.

I respect entrepreneurs who are willing to take a risk and invest in their own ideas. olug benga agboola might have been the first Nigerian to build a financial technology company, but he’s certainly not the only one, as Nigeria is home to all kinds of successful businesses, from banks to supermarkets.

Flutterwave is a great example of what kind of impact can be made with technology (and also how Africans can innovate without being limited by existing systems and infrastructure). Flutterwave makes transactions more secure, easy and faster than ever before.

This is an awesome example of what we can achieve with innovation and entrepreneurship. It gives Africa a voice in the conversation of technology and payment processors. Olugbenga agboola took on the challenge to provide a better solution for his people and made it happen in the best way possible.

As olugbenga agboola said “We are looking to build the next generation infrastructure for financial services in Africa”.

I am proud to have found out about Flutterwave and to learn more about olugbenga agboola’s inspiring story that led him to where he is today.
