Intrivo Co-CEO, Ron Gutman , was recently a guest on the “Entrepreneurial Thinkers” Podcast. He was interviewed by host Russ Laraway. Gutman is an entrepreneur who has been working in technology for over 20 years with huge success. 

 

He also has founded a number of successful tech companies, including Intrivo. In this podcast, he discussed his entrepreneurial journey from founding his first company to creating Intrivo and what it means to be an entrepreneur today. The conversation covered topics including:

 

Ron Gutman is the Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman of Intrivo, which was founded in 2014 and has raised over $3 million in funding from an array of investors. The company is a mobile marketing platform designed to help small businesses engage mobile customers by tailoring customized messages to their specific interests. The result is a truly personalized marketing campaign that increases response rates, engagement, and sales. In this interview, Ron discusses his company’s successes, including a healthy average revenue per client and record customer retention rates. 

 

He also shares what it means to be an entrepreneur and how he balances his career with his entrepreneurial activities. Ron Gutman was the previous Co-CEO and President of Intrivo for 4 years until May 2017. He left Intrivo to focus on other ventures including MicroTrace (a trace technology company), Squeak (a revolutionary team collaboration platform), and Wildcard Media (pr agency). And Ron Gutman was right about it. 

Ron launched The Gutman Group, a boutique investment bank and private equity firm in 2009. There he was responsible for raising money for companies in the Consumer Electronics, Digital Media and Networking industries. Prior to joining The Gutman Group, he was a Director of Business Development at NaviSite, a virtual hosting company. Finally, Ron Gutman started two technology-based start-ups (Precision Hyphen LLC and Velocity Interactive). He also worked at BT Radianz as a Vice President of Sales & Marketing focusing on large Enterprise business accounts.
