Health is thrilled to support the DAISY Awards in Cameroon by presenting a free virtual reality experience about advocacy for better maternal health and sanitation.
The DAISY Awards, or the Digital Activism Information Sharing Expert Challenge, are an international competition recognizing digital activists who use their skills for social good. The winners can share their stories at the New York Times’s “TimesTalks” event and receive $ thousands in prize money.
The Health Carousel service is a free educational tool to inspire young people to promote maternal health and sanitation. It offers news about improving maternal care and sanitation in every generation, feeding it into the DAISY Awards storyboard.
Health users will have the chance to experience advocacy to improve maternal health and sanitation. They can also find Community Leaders and get ideas on how to carry out their advocacy challenge in their community.
The Health Carousel will be supporting the DAISY Awards in Cameroon and showcasing the finalists’ stories.
To use the Health Carousel service, create an account at healthcarousel.com. It is easy to use and has a fast learning curve. It also allows health workers to use it in non-English speaking countries such as Cameroon, enabling them to share training materials with their communities.
