Athlo is a fitness app that tracks your fitness progress by counting your steps and showing how many calories you’ve burned.

Designed for busy people on the go, Athlo is a free app that allows users to get fit without investing time or money in gym memberships, workout clothes, or equipment.

It is as simple as installing the app, logging in with Facebook, and choosing your profile picture. Once logged in, the app will track and log your daily steps into your daily total. You can also create a custom activity by recording your activity manually (if you want to) or logging activities from any other personal fitness app on the market.

The next fitness unicorn comes in at the ideal time when people are looking to find an easy way to get fit. While many apps and companies out there are only focused on one thing or another (Fitbit, for example, is a step counter), it offers something that no other fitness app offers: it gives you accurate statistics on your progress. More importantly, it’s free and available to users without any paid services or packages.

The key to its success is its simplicity. The app was designed so anyone could use it without navigating a complicated program or setting multiple alarms for reminders to move throughout the day.

Matthew Mansell and Marc Flokstra, the Australian tech entrepreneurs behind the app, wanted to create an app that could track your fitness progress so you could see how far you’ve come and set goals for yourself.

The app has been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times in over 100 countries. J-Lab, a company that helps tech startups across the globe become established, listed Athlo as one of the top 10 apps in Australia. The app is available on all iOS devices and can be downloaded through Apple’s App Store.

Matthew Mansell is trying to make a difference with his fitness app: he want to inspire people to get fit.

Athlo Founder/CEO Matthew Mansell, “We have a vision for Athlos to be ‘the next fitness unicorn’, being used by millions of people, but we will only achieve this if we do it the right way and give users what they want.”

It is available in over 100 countries around the world. Users can log their data on the top 20 fitness apps—Sync with Athlos, download your personal fitness diary to track your progress in real-time with our step counter and wearable muscle fitness bands such as Fitbit, Nike Fuelband, and more.
