A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and American University Washington College of Law, he is licensed to practice law in California and New York in the United States with a strong background in corporate criminal defense, intellectual property rights litigation, and government relations.

Before starting his private law firm, entertainment lawyer André Des Rochers was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. Here, he prosecuted white collar crime. He also served as the Chief of Staff to the Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission and as Counsel to the New York City Council. 

 

Successful attorney André Des Rochers has twice been nominated by President Barack Obama as Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission. He has also been twice confirmed by the US Senate.

André Des Rochers is an investor and serves on the Board of Ice Entertainment, a social media, and sports consulting company. He also serves on the Advisory Council for the Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame, where he focuses on projects related to international business law,  and international communications law.

 

André Des Rochers also specializes in alternative dispute resolution. In addition, he is a frequent guest lecturer at the New York University School of Law, where he teaches federal prosecutorial ethics in the Criminal Justice Clinic. Mr. Des Rochers is an experienced attorney with extensive corporate criminal and government relations background. President Barack Obama has twice nominated him to the Federal Communications Commission.
