Nj Ayuk has practiced law for more than 20 years, with a special focus on corporate & commercial and international investment agreements, licensing/approvals/royalty negotiations and regulatory matters. He has represented clients in a number of transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, business sale and purchase agreements and technology licenses.
In 2005, Ayuk was ranked as the only ‘top ten most influential lawyer in Cameroon’ by Le Pouvoir. In 2006, he was selected to participate in the British Council sponsored international training program in Negotiation Skills; which took place in London.
Ayuk has been named as the lawyer of choice for many of the leading business and corporate figures in Cameroon, including its top industrialist, Louis Nkemdirim.
Ayuk has been a member of the board of directors at two investment vehicles: Cameroon Global Securities (a listed company providing financial services on a global scale) and The African Petroleum Investment Company (an alternative investment vehicle investing in Africa), both listed on the London Stock Exchange. He was also appointed to the board of directors at Strata Solar (a renewable energy company providing services in West Africa), after its initial public offering (IPO) via Jersey in 2008. In 2012, he was re-appointed to the board of directors at Strata Solar.
Ayuk is a legal advisor and investor with a particular focus on African projects and companies. He has served as a director on the boards of more than 12 companies, which include oil and gas exploration, infrastructure development and production & trading entities operating in Cameroon, Niger, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. He has also been appointed as an arbitrator by several international law firms.
