
Mark Hauser is a private equity investor who is a partner at JANA Partners LLC, a company he co-founded with James Coulter in 2000. Mr. Hauser has served as Managing Director of JANA Emerging Markets for the last four years and has led investments in Southeast Asia, India, Africa, and Latin America. - Career
He started his career at Goldman Sachs, where he worked for eight years. He was an investment banker at the firm for four years before leaving to become a partner at JANA in 2000. He later moved to Old Lane Partners LLC and co-founded JANA with his brother Bob, a venture capitalist and current firm president. He also served on the board of directors of Vitro Corporation, the world’s largest plastics producer for automobiles.

In 2009 he received Ernst & Young’s New York Regional Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He was also selected as one of Businessweek and PWC’s Top 25 Private Equity Financiers. He was also awarded the Exemplary Investor Award by the National Venture Capital Association in 2012 and received a 2012 Peak Performance Award from the Yale School of Management Alumni Association. In addition, he was named to Crain’s New York Business 40 Under 40 list the most influential business players in the region.
