Nick Millican Explores a Stylish Home for Sale in Bromley

Stillness is not a term associated with London life, but a historic home identified by Nick Millican is changing this perception. Stillness is a Grade II listed building in the London Borough of Bromley, which has recently been listed for sale.

Real estate agent Nick Millican believes restoring the historically important building will bring a historic property to life. Stillness was completed in 1934 for a wealthy Bromley resident under the direction of the architect Gilbert Booth.

The home was completed in a style described by Booth as modernistic, instead of sticking to the modern style of the 1930s, Nick millican ads. Booth’s work on the textured concrete white house includes black Crittall windows, prompting the real estate agent to describe the home as a rare find.

Former resident, David Calcott restored the home using photos and architectural drawings during his 24 years living in Stillness up to 2006. Nick Millican praised the work of Calcott as maintaining the interior style of Booth’s original design.

After Calcott sold the 2,743-square-foot property in 2006, the current owners have not maintained the property to his standards. Nick Millican believes Stillness offers a buyer plenty of potential for restoration and improvement. The property is set among mature trees and greenery to create a sanctuary away from the hustle of London life.
