About Robert Kraft
After graduating from Brookline High School in 1959, he attended Columbia University and eventually got his MBA from Harvard School of Business. After marrying his wife Myra, Robert Kraft began his career with the Rand-Whitney Group and still serves as the company’s chairman to this day. To continue his investment ambitions, he helped a group acquire the CBS affiliate in Boston as well as multiple radio stations in the area. All of this eventually led to Kraft becoming the owner of the New England Patriots.
Even though Kraft grew up as a New York Giants fan, he always had an interest in owning the Patriots. To help his position to do so, he purchased some land near the stadium and eventually won an auction to buy their stadium out of bankruptcy.
Purchasing the stadium gave Robert Kraft ownership of the lease to the Patriots. After a 1992 scare of the Patriots moving to St. Louis, Robert Kraft bought the Patriots for 175 million dollars in 1994. Kraft was quick to get the Patriots a new stadium and develop the land around it. This eventually led to six Super Bowl wins and ten appearances for the Patriots.
Robert Kraft also has a life outside of football. The Kraft group focuses on Real Estate Development. This includes factories, entertainment, and medical facilities. With Kraft’s values, he used his relationship building and high level of integrity to build this company. Go to this page for more information.
