Judy Sheindlin has been working at the side of a TV judicial lawyer for many years. She started her career in courtrooms across the country. Before moving to the Manhattan Supreme Court, she got her start in the local New York City courts. She then moved onto Los Angeles’ Superior Court, where she stayed until she returned to New York to become an arbitrator at the Appellate Division of the State Supreme Court. Since then, she has appeared on several television shows, including “Judge “Divorce Court” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” among others.
Randy Douthit worked at NBC from 1990 to 2000. As Vice President of Programming Development for the network, he received many accolades, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in News Reporting. His first show ”Larry King Live” became a huge success after airing for 15 seasons, making Randy one of the few TV producers still producing programs today. After leaving NBC, he returned to school for film studies at USC and graduated in 2006. During his time at NBC, Randy created several other successful shows like Crossfire and ”Capital Gang”.
That unique mindset has paid off – since joining the team at SYNCnetwork, Douthit has earned 6 Cable ACE awards, 6 Emmys, 2 Peabodys & President Trump even made a cameo appearance; during an episode of his show “Celebrity Apprentice.” ” He also produced the daytime talk show “Happily Divorced” for TLC and directed episodes of “Divorce Court” and “Celebrity Wife Swap,” among numerous other television shows. Randy is currently an executive producer and director of “Judy King”, a landmark legal show on IMDbTV.
Judge Judy’s interest in social justice goes beyond her courtroom. She supports public counsel, an organization that offers free legal services for low-income individuals, families, veterans, education, immigrant rights, women, children and other groups.
Randy Douthit met Sheindlin when she was the star of ” Judge Judy.” He worked with her for several years before becoming her permanent producer. He said she taught him plenty about life and also gave him advice. Douthit has worked with Judge Judy for over 15 years at CBS. He says she is kind-hearted and loving towards everyone she meets during filming. She works hard during shooting and takes care of her family whenever possible.
