The Quincy: A Choice For Working Class But Frequent Crimes A Pain

Published / by rattlin / Leave a Comment

The Quincy, an apartment complex in Brunswick, NJ, is a good choice for working class as it gives the serenity which people require. It gives almost all the options that a semi-deluxe apartment offers. A rooftop pool, fitness center, pet-friendly amenities, club room, onsite garage parking, etc., are making sure that all the required amenities are provided for the residents. The location of the apartment is also in the proximity of downtown, and hence the residents can easily access the bars/lounges, restaurants, retail stores, etc., conveniently.

Though the apartment complex offers excellent ambiance for a quality life, there are few crimes reported there during the recent times. The first incident was a robbery at gunpoint by three robbers. The victim was a pizza delivery boy, and the robbers stole his money, wallet, and pizza. The pizza delivery boy was carrying a pizza order to one of the residents of the apartment but gone through the unfortunate incident as the robbers blocked in. It was in November 2012, but all the culprits were nabbed within four months. To many of the residents, it was a shock as violent crimes were very low in the area during that time.

The second incident was a shootout, and a person was injured. It was on Oct. 7, 2015, and the residents heard three to four shots in the evening. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital, and it was found to be a non-life threatening shootout. The police arrived the spot and ensured that no evidence had been lost to catch the offender, who is reportedly wearing a hoodie fled to Nilsen Street. The next day, police found more bullet casings at the complex building. The detectives were actively looking into the case to catch the culprit.

There were few more similar incidents repeated in the apartment complex in the recent times. Though the police respond quickly, it has not reduced to the rate of such incidents so far. The residents of the apartment complex are upset with the recent incidents and feel unsecured. It has also been reported that once the best place for families, is losing its confidence in the recent years. Especially considering the area as one of the prime areas of the city, the residents and people from neighboring areas are very unhappy that the location is being spotted as a crime area with frequent incidents. They ask for the active intervention of police in the area to control such incidents.
